What kind of questions should I ask a landscaping company as they do a free estimate? - how much retaining wall estimate

We try to include a retaining wall on the front with a paved footpath along the sides and a terrace at the rear (20x20) make with a sitting wall around the circumference. Bush and what not, to the extent and the retaining wall. What are the questions that we should make sure that we get a good price and good service?

Are you a licensed bonded and insured? Can you demonstrate?
How many years have you been in business?
Do you have references?
May I have your sources and / or see some examples of their work in projects like me?
How long do you need to get my project is complete? Can you elaborate on that estimate, and later in the contract?
What do you suggest to fill the attractive and functional? The materials are in the estimation and contractual?
"The retaining wall require a city license? Do not pull a permit?
"The retaining wall is required drainage and if so, how are you? Enter this estimate.
How many people will be needed to complete this task? Are the people in your company or outsource Why?
How many jobs are usually processed at the same time?
Have you personally, he has supervised the work, or a foreman or supervisor?
What do you propose to landscape plant materials around the perimeter? What care is required for this type of facilityMaterial? Are they annual or perennial plants? Can I come with you to collect nursery plant material? No plant material under the contract?
Your team provide clean after work is completed? What happens to the extra hardware? Come with me to delete it? Please specify in the contract.
What are your payment terms? (I like the third method, preceded by one third to the third conclusion, and third stages after the conclusion.)
Since the estimated cost, if the material is broken in the workforce?

Not sure on price or service, I am not in your region, but a good question is always the size of shrubs and how often cut again kept at the right height, shape, etc. where they are planted. A landscape "artist" is our front yard, we bought our house, and when we moved, we have grown all share, which was the first time that the gardens and "sweet." Some trees and shrubs were planted too close together. Lamps has never been thinner, landscape fabric was to be due to the decomposition of litter cleaned before. To put it mildly, was a disaster! Make sure that whoever your landscaping really knows what he does not speak. Some people only what the plant looks well now, and do not plan ahead.

Good luck
